ENG VS PAK MATCH & ANALYSIS

England managed to get the better of Pakistan in a manner that few would have predicted. A 3-0 win against a top cricketing nation with a second-string team assembled just 48 hours before the series started is not something that happens regularly. Now, the focus shifts to the T20 internationals.

Most of England’s big guns are back in action and they will be keen to continue the success that the previous set of players were able to achieve. Online Betting Id  For Pakistan, the T20 format is one where it has had the most success. Babar Azam is back in form and we are sure that plenty of learnings from the PSL will be put into play.

While the hosts go in as favorites, the nature of the T20 game is such that upsets are more likely.

We think we can continue to find some great value in the betting market for this series.

Match prediction and cricket betting tips for England vs Pakistan 1st T20 2021. The match is going to be played at Trent Bridge, Nottingham on the 16th of July 2021.

ENG VS PAK TEAM PREVIEWS

ENGLAND
England is the current holder of the ODI World Cup and has a real chance of winning the T20 World Cup later this year as well. There is no doubt that it is going to go into the tournament as one of the favorites and every match leading up to it will be seen as important.

This is why the England team has brought back almost all of its first-choice players.

Eoin Morgan will be leading the team that has some tremendous batting resources at its disposal. Jos Buttler and Jason Roy appear to be the first-choice openers followed by Dawid Malan, Jonny Bairstow, Eoin Morgan, and Liam Livingstone.

Tom Banton is the reserve batsman in the squad but we don’t think he is going to get an opportunity unless there is an injury.

The number 7 position is an interesting one. Lewis Gregory showed just how important he can be for England in the ODI series but Moeen Ai has a strong claim for that place as well. We think Gregory will get the nod over Ali going by past selections and also the fact that Liam Livingstone can bowl some useful spin as well.

A problem of plenty awaits England in the bowling department as well. Adil Rashid is a guaranteed starter leaving plenty of competition for the remaining three places. We think David Willey, Saqib Mahmood, and Chris Jordan will get the nod ahead of the likes of Tom Curran and Jake Ball.

This is a very strong team with depth in batting and plenty of options in the bowling lineup.

PAKISTAN
The ODI series for Pakistan could not have gone worse. The team managed to lose all three matches, had no major contributions from any batsmen apart from Babar/Rizwan, and also comes into this series with the bowlers short on confidence.

Success in the PSL for some of the players involved will help them but starting well is going to be crucial for Pakistan.

It will be interesting to see what batting lineup Pakistan goes with. Babar Azam, Sharjeel Khan, Fakhar Zaman, and Mohammad Rizwan all made runs opening the batting. In the past few matches, Babar Azam has tended to open the batting himself with Fakhar Zaman likely to get the other slot.

Sharjeel Khan may miss out altogether and Mohammad Hafeez will slot in at number four/five.

Mohammad Rizwan should get the number three slot considering the form he is in.

Sohaib Maqsood, Imad Wasim, and possibly Azam Khan will be given the task of accelerating at the end.

That is an exciting top-7 but the dependence on Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan is obvious. Also, if Fakhar Zaman gets out then getting the quick start needed against England is not going to be easy. Sohaib Maqsood was in great form during the PSL but he is also someone that prefers batting in the top-3 and that is just not likely to happen in this series.

The bowling lineup for Pakistan should select itself in normal course. Hasan Ali, Shaheen Afridi, and Haris Rauf are all world-class at their best. Will one bad ODI series affect their position in the team? It may be tempting to play someone like Mohammad Wasim Jr or Arshad Iqbal to give them some experience as well.

PITCH AND CONDITIONS

The weather forecast for this match is excellent and we should not have any trouble getting a full match in. The pitch at Trent Bridge is one of the flattest in all of England and the boundaries are quite short as well. This means that boundary-hitting is going to be key and that could play into the hands of the England cricket team.

A high-scoring match where 190-200 is the minimum teams will be aiming for batting first.

ENG VS PAK BETTING TIPS

England is a far superior white-ball team to Pakistan. Most of its players in this series will be coming in with a long period of rest and so they may take a little bit of time to get into their rhythm but the overall quality of players is good enough to overcome such things.

England has a better batting lineup, more power, Cricket Tips Free and its bowling is quite good too. Pakistan is going to be low on confidence and its team composition does not seem to be well-suited for high-scoring venues.

Bet on England to win.
