ENG VS PAK MATCH & ANALYSIS
Pakistan is about to begin its white-ball tour of England and there has already been a lot of excitement off the field. Seven members from England’s ODI contingent (including three players) have tested positive for COVID-19 and the entire squad is being placed under isolation.

As a result, England has named a replacement squad by pulling out players from ongoing County Championship matches overnight. You may have heard a lot about England’s talent depth and this is when it is truly going to be tested!

Pakistan has had a rough build-up to the series with rain following it around. We are sure its analysts will be scrambling to come up with useful information about the players that are now in the England squad.

As a bettor, all of this chaos means opportunity. Cricket betting Tips - The markets are going to take some time to adapt to this massive change and a lot of value bets are going to be available till that happens. We will try to highlight some of the best bets for the England vs Pakistan ODI series to you.

Match Prediction and cricket betting tips for England vs Pakistan 1st ODI 2021. The match is going to be played at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff on the 8th of July 2021.

ENG VS PAK TEAM PREVIEWS
ENGLAND

England’s new squad has nine debutants named in it and a number of players that are going to be playing after long gaps in their careers. Ben Stokes will captain the ODI team for the first time in his career and have a lot of responsibility thrust on him.

All of the players named in the squad have been playing white-ball cricket in the T20 Blast and are ready to go. Make no mistake, this England team is inexperienced but it is not weak by any stretch of the imagination.

It is difficult to know exactly what the playing eleven will be but we can make a few educated guesses.

The opening two positions have a lot of competition. England could go aggressive and give Will Jacks + Phil Salt a chance. That will be a high-risk play probably more suited to T20 internationals. Also, Dawid Malan scored runs against Sri Lanka opening the batting so he should get one slot.

It seems likely that Will Jacks will have to wait for his turn.

James Vince, Zak Crawley, and Dan Lawrence could be the other three batsmen in the team. Ben Stokes and Ben Duckett (in a wicketkeeping role) will round out the top-7.

Lewis Gregory could be the second all-rounder if one of the other batsmen misses out.

Brydon Carse is an impressive left-arm fast bowler and we expect him to start the first match. Tom Helm, Matthew Parkinson, and Saqib Mehmood are the other bowlers that should make the cut for the first match.

A lot of batting depth and an incisive bowling attack makes this a formidable team. The challenge is going to be finding the right combination quickly.
PAKISTAN
What more could Pakistan have asked for ahead of this important ODI series with Super League points on the line? The entire first-choice England eleven has been ruled out of the series!

Pakistan has a great chance of winning not only this match but also the series. However, it should not get ahead of itself. Its own team is in transition as well and nothing can be taken for granted. In a lot of ways, the team is going to be under more pressure since a loss is not going to be tolerated well at all.

Pakistan’s batting is going to revolve around Babar Azam who is easily one of the best batsmen in the world in this format. Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Rizwan are likely to open the batting while Sohaib Masood, Haris Sohail, Saud Shakeel, and Shadab Khan are all contenders for the top-7.

It will be interesting to see if Imam ul Haque (who has an excellent record in ODI cricket) is given the opening slot or Mohammad Rizwan is handed that position after his recent success in T20 cricket.

Faheem Ashraf is an ideal player at number 8 who can bat and bowl well while Shaheen Afridi, Hasan Ali, and Haris Rauf probably select themselves. Pakistan’s bowling is very strong and it has a decent amount of depth in the batting as well.

With Rizwan and Babar at the center, this is a team that can surprise a number of people. Sohaib Maqsood found a lot of success in the second half of the PSL and has promised that same fearless approach at the international level as well.

Pakistan has lacked power-hitting options in the past and he could be the answer that they have been looking for.
PITCH AND CONDITIONS
The weather has been quite gloomy in Cardiff over the last few weeks. The weather forecast for the match day is quite good, though. A few clouds but very little chance of rain indicate we are likely to get a full 50 over a side contest.

The pitch is generally flat but the weather conditions can dictate how much help the bowlers get. We think the current outlook suggests this is going to be one of the higher-scoring matches of the series and one where we could get some surprisingly high scores.
